Hello, My brothers PC which has been running for about a year now has stopped booting into Windows. It seems to freeze at certain stages of the startup process. I attempted to select the right boot device via the BIOS menu, but it just shows an empty space for a short moment before returning to the boot manager. It appears the drive might be corrupted. Whenever the PC enters automatic recovery, two or three text fields appear and vanish quickly, then the screen goes blank indefinitely. During boot attempts, it displays "gigabyte" followed by a spinning boot circle that keeps rotating without progressing. I used the Windows Media Creation Tool to install Windows on a fat32 partition, but only the Windows 11 logo appears on a black screen, and it remains stuck on a purple background. When I tried "Partition 1" in the boot manager, it still didn’t work. All unused drives have been unplugged, yet nothing functions.
You can start from a Windows installation USB and navigate to Advanced Options > Startup Repair to check if the initial setup can be resolved.
