Windows wipe and backup issue question
Yes, you can include game files on the same USB drive during the Windows 10 installation. Just place them alongside the operating system installer and follow the setup steps.
It’s clear in practice, though not strictly so. You can add files after the Windows setup is ready, provided nothing from the setup itself has been deleted or relocated. Then the installation should proceed smoothly and remain bootable. To keep it working, you’ll need to strip out the boot components and treat it like a regular USB drive. Adding files like updates won’t automatically install them during the Windows install—it will be ignored. You can still include updates, but if your OS isn’t fully updated on the drive, the latest updates from the internet will refresh it once you connect to the web.
