Challenge their view by showing real-world performance, efficiency, and professional use cases. Highlight how macOS excels in productivity, design, and integration with Apple tools, while also pointing out that many businesses run smoothly on Windows. Use examples of software compatibility, user experience, and reliability to counter their claim.

I began a discussion like this before it ended in just a few minutes. The question of whether a Mac outperforms a PC—or vice versa—doesn’t have a clear answer. It varies based on the task at hand, and many video editors prefer Macs.

He claims his uncle believes Macs are meant for professionals, yet professionals avoid workstations for gaming. The focus here is on how Macs cater specifically to consumers. The integration between iOS and OSX, along with the overall user experience, leans more toward consumer needs rather than professional demands. I believe Mac OS X strikes a strong balance between both worlds, which explains why many professionals use it while still enjoying its intuitive design for everyday tasks.

You can't put OS X on any device you choose. It’s tighter and less ideal. Still, both Windows and OS X have drawbacks, and everyone should opt for free software.

I don't aim for serious discussions here. My preference leans toward OSX over Windows, though opinions vary. For professionals in design and editing, OSX often offers a superior experience, with many tools performing better than their Windows counterparts.

A developer working with Windows-only tools like Visual Studio can't switch to Mac. Macs are designed for different purposes.
