Windows Vista in 2015 was a significant update by Microsoft, released in 2006. Many people overlook its performance after service pack two, but it actually matches or exceeds 7 in speed. It includes Direct X 11, which enables compatibility with most games. I've been using it as my primary OS for nearly a year. My video shows GTA V running smoothly on Vista, suggesting the criticism may not be entirely justified. It's essentially a more polished version of Windows 7.

I once believed Windows 7 was terrible, so I chose Vista instead. That decision proved wrong. Vista was equally disappointing, so I remained with it.

Windows Vista is definitely better than SP2. It's not as strong as version 7, but it's quite close to it.

Many disliked Windows Vista because of performance issues, compatibility problems, and a generally poor user experience. Some users found it slow or confusing, which contributed to widespread dissatisfaction. Your personal experience with an older system shows that outcomes can vary depending on hardware and usage.

I enjoyed my Windows Vista laptop, but I recently faced the frustrating daily bluescreen. A fresh install with 300 registry errors feels better than anything else.

Calling W7 trash just a personal view—it's a reliable operating system. Do you have concrete proof that Windows Vista outperforms Windows 7? How could you be correct when it's still just an opinion that can't be definitively proven true or false?

Maybe the toughest smartass thing I've encountered all day. He simply stated, "I always thought"

I notice that most Microsoft OS versions become quite stable after several service updates (except for ME, which didn’t get any updates since the major issues). Windows XP followed this trend too, even though it was once considered one of the top Microsoft releases. I run Windows Vista on a few admin machines in a nonprofit, and they’re still working well today—though it was a major problem when it launched.

I found it appealing, it marked a significant improvement. Many users faced challenges with resource handling and overall speed, especially since Vista consumed a lot of RAM compared to the usual 1-2GB. I believe much of the criticism came from those who attempted to use it on unsuitable hardware and from buyers who purchased heavily pre-built systems filled with unnecessary programs, worsening the situation.
