No need to re-install Windows after changing the CPU and motherboard from Intel to AMD. Existing programs and software should still function on the new setup. The current OS installation remains intact unless there are specific issues. Resetting the PC won’t be necessary unless you encounter problems.

You should be able to move between platforms smoothly with minimal problems. The only possible issue is your Windows activation ceasing, which can be resolved by running the activation troubleshooter.

I’d install a new setup. With so many devices—like those built into the motherboard—each requiring unique drivers, problems could arise later. Even if it functions initially, stability issues might emerge over time.

While Windows should handle cleanup and update drivers, it isn't always perfect and may leave some problems or oddities. A fresh installation is the best option.

I recommend most users perform a clean install. Yet, I’ve successfully transferred an Intel Windows 10 system to an AMD platform without any issues. I prepared adequately by removing all Intel software and drivers before powering down, swapping the motherboard and CPU, reinstalling the storage drives, and restarting. Windows seemed hesitant at first but eventually launched normally. Updating the AMD chipset drivers made everything work smoothly.

A fresh setup of Windows isn't necessary, particularly with Windows 10, though it's highly advised.
