So I have a laptop that I hadn't turned on for about 3 years. Had to use it the other day and decided it would be a good idea to update windows first... Ran multiple rounds of updates before finally getting to 1903. Got to the the part where it tells you "update requires restart". I restarted and now it's been on the blue start-up (Working on updates 91% Don't turn off your PC. This will take a while) screen for literally 2 full days. I don't know what to do now. I have all my music on there and some old files that I never backed up (I know, I'm dumb). Will the system just fail if I force close it with the power button? Help! Thanks all!

You can initiate a restart to resolve the issue. I experienced the same situation before. After several forced restarts, Windows would discard the update and revert to its previous state.
