It's tough to identify a clear cause from the single incident, but I'll go through it and try to clarify the situation.

I’m preparing the necessary information from the crash dump. Below are the key details:
__ PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50) Invalid system memory was referenced. This cannot be protected by try-except. Usually the address is simply incorrect or it points to freed memory. Arguments: Arg1: ffffffffffffffd0, memory referenced. Arg2: 0000000000000002, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation. Arg3: fffff8023383e286, If non-zero, the instruction address that referenced the bad memory address. Arg4: 0000000000000002, (reserved) CUSTOMER_CRASH_COUNT: 1 PROCESS_NAME: brave.exe SYMBOL_NAME: idmwfp+9984 MODULE_NAME: idmwfp IMAGE_NAME: idmwfp.sys STACK_COMMAND: .thread ; .cxr ; kb BUCKET_ID_FUNC_OFFSET: 9984 FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: AV_INVALID_idmwfp!unknown_function
__ Brave crashed due to IDMWFP.sys, likely a driver issue. I recommend checking the driver via Microsoft’s driver verifier and running MemTest86 for RAM health. You’ll need a USB drive to complete the testing.

Wait a moment, isn't this not the DPC watchdog violation crash dump? I think I vaguely recall a random BSoD about a page fault... but it never occurred again.

Wow, I’m stretched thin right now. I can manage getting the results back in about a week, and I should make sure the USB stick is spotless before running MemTest. I’ve got crucial files on my 32 GB Kingston drive—thanks for keeping me updated!

MemTest will erase the storage device. The driver checker will execute within Windows. Begin with that option.
