You're looking for crash dump files from a BSoD crash that happened about two months ago. Since you paused updates then, you might need to check your system logs or use tools like Sysinternals to retrieve them. Also, keep an eye out for the Windows update reminder today, as it may prompt you to share system specifications soon.

Looking for quick crash reports instead of full files? Usually, system failures during major upgrades stem from outdated BIOS or driver versions—not always. These crash logs can uncover more details about what went wrong.

That's quite nerve-wracking! Updating the BIOS can be risky, and I'm glad you're being cautious. Just to confirm, your motherboard is this model?

It's a simple stroll. I'm unfamiliar with this business, but their BIOS update guidelines suggest waiting unless alternatives exist. This seems unnecessarily complicated.

I’m hoping this update won’t need a motherboard BIOS upgrade. Shouldn’t the operating system handle that? It’s not clear if OS and BIOS are related, as they seem to be separate components. I’ll proceed with the update only when I need to replace the CPU to a Ryzen 3700X, which should be supported by this board (their site mentions it).

They're essentially recommending you refresh the BIOS using a bootable USB drive, separate from Windows. They previously referred to this process as "DOS Mode."

I’ve located the latest minidump file I could find. It’s unclear if it matches the DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION BSoD. Please review and let me know if it helps.
