Windows Update stopped showing the BIOS screen on your Asus X570-PLUS (5900x, 3080).
Last night occurred an unusual event. Around 1:30am, my system with an AMD 5900x and Gigabyte 3080 received a Windows update (KB5001330) and restarted. After the restart, it entered BIOS and the screen went dark. I attempted to boot multiple times but couldn't access anything on the display. I removed the 3080 and installed an older 970 model, which successfully booted. However, it paused in BIOS, insisting on enabling CSM for Windows to start. I had previously disabled CSM to activate Resizable BAR, which now functions perfectly. After letting everything reset, it worked without issues. Once more, I removed the 970 and reinstalled the 3080, and it booted normally. I rebooted a few times to confirm stability. It's strange that I had to swap components to get the update to function, but this seems typical for my machine over the past month. After shutting down, I replaced the 970 with the 3080 and it worked again. I'm unsure if the motherboard isn't fully initializing the GPU before entering BIOS. How could I resolve this? Have others experienced similar problems?
I'm facing the same issue—I had a resizable bar enabled and it was working, updating with KB5001330. When I turn off CSM and restart the computer, the video signal disappears in the BIOS. Right now I keep CSM active to maintain the connection and access windows on my LG C9. I'm planning to wait for the May update. If it doesn't fix the problem, I'll proceed with formatting and see how it goes.
