I've observed this inconsistency and it's confusing. In Windows updates and the driver section, I see Wi-Fi 22.60, but on Intel's site it lists 22.50. It's unclear how to determine which driver corresponds to what, especially since there might be two similar drivers now.

It seems there could be a timing issue with the window update release. If you're comfortable updating, doing so might help. Updating Wi-Fi drivers isn't usually necessary, but it could potentially boost performance.

For security and stability, I usually download it directly from Intel. Still, Windows sometimes tries to offer its own version. Probably because I tested it once to check how it works. I’m not overly concerned, but just make sure it doesn’t clash with other drivers or versions. As with Intel, use their wizard or installer to update the card or driver.

I understand you're trying to stay calm about this situation. It seems like there might have been a mix-up during the release, and the autonomous bot acted unexpectedly. Probably just a simple mistake—things can go wrong sometimes. Thank you for helping out!

It seems uncertain because the details remain consistent across several updates, which might be confusing.

It seems Intel experienced an admin problem where latest drivers were only available via Windows Update. This isn't the first occurrence—likely a recurring issue, probably an oversight.

I’m hoping things improve or if updates for Windows aren’t just rolling out the newest fixes. More drivers seem to be this way. But okay… (just an update from Intel, not sure if they’ll handle other kinds of drivers better)

The problem appears to be specific to Intel. It’s unclear whether they’re attempting to sync Windows Update drivers on their site, if there are internal communication issues, or if the company’s bureaucracy causes delays in approving new driver info. Generally, the opposite happens—Windows Update provides drivers sooner once they’re validated, while Intel may lag behind.
