Windows update encountered an error.
Hey everyone. Each year I perform a fresh Windows setup, and every time it asks for an update. This year it’s not changing, but it still can’t install the updates. It tries to download them, then prepares to install, but stops and says it failed. I’m supposed to try again later or reach out to support. The updates are important because I need GPU drivers now—they say it isn’t supported. I hope you get this point. Also, I attempted a Microsoft update tool from their site, but it just froze after the update. I can see the mouse works, but nothing else. Anyone know what’s going on or how to fix it?
I have two Windows laptops. The i7 laptop updates slowly, one by one, taking all day. The desktop updates in groups until finished. This changed after the KB4088776 update failed on March 14th, but now it’s installed. Link: March 13, 2018—KB4088776 (OS Build 16299.309)
