I believe your Windows update is getting mixed up. Do you know any solution for this? It’s not a major problem, but the red exclamation mark in the notification tray seems to bother you. Anyone have ideas?

No, a restart does not always fix the issue.

Restart doesn't resolve the issue. Clicking the update check doesn't display anything... I think everything should be current.

Consider pausing and resuming "Windows Update" via services.msc

It seems quite unusual; please wait for a proper update if possible. If you need immediate fixes, consider upgrading to the Insiders preview.

Always revert the most recent change and then Windows will automatically locate a fix.

Tomorrow is Patch Tuesday. It might resolve the issue once the update is applied.

I faced a comparable problem when moving from version 10 to 11. I had to turn off the "7 days update pause" setting in the options below the available update. (Maybe a restart was needed after some time.)
