I was stopped by the update process and then noticed the loading bar. Once it hit 100%, my screen became unresponsive for a while, leading me to believe I should finish updating. After turning off and back on the PC, there was no signal detected. Inside the case, I saw the CPU fan spinning and the GPU fan too. I attempted to remove the GPU and reinstall it, but it didn’t work. Do you need to wait because you still hear the machine running?

Join the discussion. Are posts directed to Bios? Can you enable safe mode when starting up?

Restart the BIOS settings. Refer to your user guide for instructions. If needed, remove the graphics card and attempt to boot using the integrated graphics option.

Also verify your cables, as the connection might not be tight or could have been shifted.

Review the fundamental checklist; regardless of the weather, if the software is updated, the computer should display correctly.

It was a used build so I opted for a manual approach.

Power cables ensure inner and outer connections are solid, CPU and RAM stay firmly linked, monitor stays on and properly attached. You don’t have to link your hard drive before checking BIOS settings on your PC. 4) SATA hard drive is connected securely? 5) attempt to enter Windows Safe Mode at startup. Often when updating Windows it restarts several times and the display appears dim or flickers. Give it some time.

No, you don't need to remove the CMOS battery. It's usually left in place and powers essential system functions.

Turn it all the way off, disconnect the power, and then reconnect it—does the screen indicate any action or message?
