Hello, Just before playing tonight, I restarted my system. Windows applied some updates, and I’ll attach screenshots of the installed ones. Afterward, my performance in TF2 was good but has since dropped significantly. I reduced several graphics settings, yet the frame rate remains worse than before. The Task Manager shows everything normal, and even after another restart, the issue persists. Thanks for your help—I need to get back to TF2 soon!

Additionally, your laptop has been acting a bit sluggish recently, with applications taking longer to launch and the desktop background turning black briefly during gameplay of TF2.

It seems your device might not have received enough power earlier today. Usually, a fully charged laptop performs better during gaming compared to when it's just plugged in. The performance drop you noticed after unplugging could be related to insufficient power supply.

Maybe reinstalling the drivers would help. As long as it's connected, it shouldn't matter, but you might want to wait until it's fully charged next time.

Return to Windows 7 or 8.1 if possible. Windows 10 is ideal for Microsoft's spyware tools.

Consider your current situation before deciding. Since you used Windows 10 for more than a year without issues, it’s worth evaluating if maintaining performance is still important to you.

You're unsure if the problem persists, but it might be linked to enabling Game Mode in Windows 10. Game Mode can interfere with older games, especially after specific updates that make it the default setting.
