I just rebuilt my PC and am facing issues with any Windows-related programs. The media player won’t launch. The start menu becomes unresponsive after a short time, requiring a task manager explorer reset to regain access, but once it works, I can’t interact with the menu. I used the Windows key + I to open settings, which triggered an error stating “this file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action…”. No changes were made to hardware other than installing a new cooler.

Details:
CPU: Intel i5-10400
CPU Cooler: Phantom Spirit 120SE RGB
MOBO: ASRock B460M Pro4
RAM: 1 stick of GSkill Ripjaws 16gb DDR4
SSD/HDD: WD 1TB SSD (main drive), older HDD in lower case for removal if needed
GPU: Gigabyte 3070 8gb
PSU: Corsair CX600M
Chassis: Montech case from Amazon (not found again)
OS: Windows 11
Monitor: LG Curved 34” Ultrawide WQHD 3440x1440 (Walmart)
