Hello, I just completed assembling my PC using an Intel Core i5-4690k, MSI R9 390, and an Asus ROG Maximus VII Ranger motherboard. Now I’m facing some issues. There’s no clear explanation for these problems, so here are a couple of scenarios that illustrate the issue.

For instance, when using Windows 7 64-bit SP1:
While browsing Chrome, after some time the browser loses its focus and starts interacting with other elements. You’ll notice the top bar changes color—dark when focused, light when unfocused. The difference is visible by moving the browser slightly down and checking the bar’s hue. This demonstrates what I mean by losing focus.

Another case: playing a game in full screen versus windowed mode. In full screen, the game sometimes shifts focus to something else, returning you to your desktop. In windowed mode it behaves similarly to Chrome.

I’ve considered reinstalling all drivers—motherboard, wireless adapter, GPU—and even thought about reinstalling Windows without losing files. Is there a way to resolve this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I don't identify as British or American. I'm certain you're not using the alt-tab. What you're pressing is WASD and the space bar.

It's an odd problem, but I experienced the same. I looked for days to discover a fix... Ultimately, I performed a complete reinstall. Sorry, I still don't know what led to it.
