I stored those pdf files earlier, these are parts of my 200-page syllabus. I tried using Ctrl+P to pick the pages and saved them via Google Classroom, but I didn’t focus much on the file names. I suspect something went wrong with the file system and can’t delete or rename them—nothing happens, and they keep showing up as shorter names when opened.
You encountered an unusual and outdated tool called Max Path Length. You need to allow long filenames. Here’s the link for more details: https://www.microfocus.com/documentation...gpfz7.html
Also possible via the registry. Copy this into Notepad, save it with a .reg extension, then double-click to load it. A restart or reboot is usually needed for the updates to apply. The registry entry looks like this:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem] "LongPathsEnabled"=dword:00000001
Updated the deletion command to remove the question mark. First, copying the full path gave a shortened name, then using F2 to copy the name resolved the issue. Removed any extra ems.
