Your computer is behaving oddly. Windows sometimes freezes unexpectedly, showing a strange dialog with an "end process" button instead of the usual close or wait messages. This issue appears across various programs and seems to affect your new system. It hasn’t happened before, and you’re unsure if it’s due to hardware problems, a virus, or something else. The specs you provided suggest a recent build, so checking for malware or driver conflicts might help.

First I’d run a memory test. Install memtest86, boot from a USB, and verify your RAM. Next, if you’re running an overclock, I’d lower it slightly and observe the results. If tests pass and lowering the overclock doesn’t help, it’s likely time to optimize the boot drive and reinstall Windows.

It would help to see a screenshot of the error message or understand exactly what it says. Review all the advice from @zombienerd and think about whether you recently installed or modified anything at the time it began.

I’m not pushing the processor beyond its limits. I thought I’d run a memory test, maybe there’s a Windows problem since everything seems to stop. Now my window just freezes completely, but I can still move the cursor and see the loading animation. That’s quite unusual.

Did you refresh the BIOS and apply the newest AMD chipset drivers released recently? Are you planning a fresh OS installation, or are you modifying an existing operating system on another machine?

The program in the window that isn't responding is the one with the red background and the "Not Responding" label.

It was a smooth setup. I can attempt a BIOS and chipset upgrade. Appreciate the assistance!

If anyone faces a comparable problem, I resolved it. The root cause was a faulty SATA cable. Quite unusual.
