Hey All, I keep getting this issue when using parsec (and from what I have noticed only when using parsec, but not sure what triggers it) Where I will disconnect from remoting into my desktop and then it causes my desktop to sort of freeze up. So that means my laptop can no longer remote into it. This doesn't happen every time which makes it harder to figure out, but it is not good as I use parsec for working remotely when I am away from home for a few days, so going home isn't always an option. But what happens to windows is that things will slowly stop working. So I get home and the mouse still works, but I start to click on things and it stops working. I can click on things in the taskbar, some applications come to the foreground, others don't. Some applications I can interact with, others not, but usually when I interact with them after a few clicks that application freezes up fully too. Like task manager, I can open it and scroll around, but if I change the sorting options, it freezes interactions completely. When I ctrl + alt + delete, that worked, but as soon as it was done, my keyboard stopped working and seemingly lost all power. I was able to use unified remote as a remote trackpad to still move my mouse around, tried to restart with the start menu which opened and could be interacted with. But if I click restart or shut down, it just closes the menu and does nothing. So end up having to hard restart. I have not noticed it do this when using the PC normally, only really when using parsec, but it has only happened a few times so far (but twice in the past week) But even still, I need to know I can remote in so I can work, so need to figure out the issue. Does anyone know what might be the issue or how I could diagnose it. Regards, Josh

Have you ever discovered a solution to this matter? It seems like you're encountering the same challenges again.

It's tricky to verify what caused the issue, so I haven't used parsec again. One suggestion was to reinstall it across the system instead of by user, which seems to improve stability—but that's the only option I've tried.

Have you adjusted the decoding settings on the GPU to use the processor instead? I’ve tried it myself and it’s working.
