I had Rx 480 before switching to Rx 6800. It functioned initially but now I experience strange Windows freezes similar to bugs. The problem seems unpredictable—sometimes the PC runs smoothly for long periods without issues, but then it crashes or freezes unexpectedly. Games still work and benchmarks match other 6800 Sapphire Nitro models. What could be causing this? Restarting seems to fix it, though after a few hours the issue returns. It doesn’t impact gaming performance. My setup includes an MSI A850G 850W Pcie5 with 80+ Gold Mobo, a MSI Mag B550 Tomahawk, Ryzen 5 5600X, Sapphire Nitro+ GPU, 16GB RAM (2x8GB at 3200MHz DDR4), and an MSI Optix G241 monitor at 1080p 144Hz. The OS is Amd Adrenaline 23.9.3 on Windows 11 x64. I’ve tested power connections from 12VHPWR, pigtail cables with two 8-pin connectors from the PSU I’m using, but results remain consistent.

In addition to updating your motherboard's BIOS, consider using older Adrenalin releases. Fully reset the system from orbit with DDU in between attempts, preferably in safe mode—this has helped me resolve similar issues. For more experimentation, you could manually switch the x16 slot from auto/Gen4 to Gen3 and test it, though I’m not sure it will make a difference.

Uncertain if it needs checking. Appreciate the idea.

Issue appears resolved following DDU and updating to the October latest adrenaline driver 23.10.2. Appreciate the advice.
