Intel Core i7-10750H (6 Core) with Intel UHD Graphics RTX 2070 Max-Q. Built-in HDMI connects to Mini-HDMI. My laptop has an OLED display plus a portable OLED monitor. Duplicating the screens shows a grey background instead of black. This doesn’t happen in Manjaro Linux. Likely a Windows issue. It wasn’t a problem when I first got the monitors. Driver updates didn’t help. Changing monitor colors didn’t resolve it, probably because it’s not a hardware issue.

Have you checked if the full dynamic range is activated in the NVIDIA control panel? It might not be configured correctly by default. Two methods work well—ideally use both. In the NVIDIA control panel, go to resolution, adjust settings, then select output dynamic range as full, fine-tune color options, choose "with NVIDIA settings," and finally set dynamic range to full.

Do you have drivers ready for the monitor's site? They usually contain color settings for Windows. Update or confirm if you meant something else.
