Your existing setup should still work with the new upgrades, but you may need to adjust boot options depending on the improvements. Using the current Windows version might require changes to boot settings or drivers. For the M.2 storage, consider it later once you have funds, as a new drive will likely be better suited.

Join the discussions here. Modern Windows handles big updates well, so most changes should work smoothly. But could you tell us which systems you're moving between? Also, remember to reactivate Windows if you haven’t already linked it to a Microsoft account.

Present - CPU: I5-2400 Board: h61m-p31/w8 New - CPU: I5-10400F Board: MSI B560M-PRO E (If you want more details about the new components, I can share the PCPartPicker list with everything that should fit in the new build – got a 1060 on the way xD)

You won’t face any problems with the older parts that have mixed cores. Upgrading to newer systems with different core types can offer benefits, but your current setup with uniform designs doesn’t require it.
