I'm facing difficulties installing Windows 10 on this laptop. After booting from USB, a brief Windows logo appears followed by a distorted screen. I've tested various boot settings—UEFI and legacy—but the system freezes after about 10 seconds. The issue occurs with both Windows 10 and 11 using GPT and MBR options. Only Windows 7 in legacy mode works without problems. Removing the HDD and connecting it to another machine allowed installation, but reinstalling on the HP laptop caused the same problem when I tried to power it up normally. It seems the laptop has some resistance to UEFI booting. Uncertain what to do next. HAALP

Consider trying installation with an external monitor connected. Does the same distorted screen effect appear then? Does this device feature "dual GPUs" somehow, meaning both onboard and a dedicated GPU? If so, have you attempted to turn off the dedicated GPU until Windows is set up? I recall similar problems with Sony Vaio models around 2015 when Windows 10 was released, requiring disabling the AMD GPU to finish the setup.

Unfortunately the laptop fails to connect to the external monitor and the problem persists. It’s important to note it lacks a dual graphics card, just an Intel integrated GPU.
