Only a container is present, allowing your audio to pass through HDMI. You must still install the driver for your audio chipset.

Same thing. Uninstalled the previous drivers, and installed the newest from Realtek site. After double toggling the fullscreen i have no sound, in windowed mode i do. It's not an issue with kodi, sound stops working from everywhere.

Yes, there are known issues with WS2016 and Intel drivers on that system.

It seems you're looking at a guide for enabling sound on Windows 2016. I've only used WS2016 briefly before switching to another version, and audio support was off by default. I think partial audio works for 2K16 as well. Also, make sure to install the desktop experience. If it doesn't resolve the issue, consider checking the MS forum for help. Good luck!

It was the first thing I did when I created the media center. It seems there might be a problem with running Kodi as a shell. I might revert to Explorer and enable auto-start for Kodi.

The problem occurred when running Kodi via Shell. Reverting to Explorer with autostart resolved it. The current media center is less functional since the non-configurable Explorer is now active.
