I manage a Windows Server 2012 machine and a Windows 10 LTSB system. Both are connected to a Netgear ProSafe GS105 switch, which links to a Netgear R7000 router, then to a Comcast modem. The Windows 10 device can reach the internet, but the Server 2012 cannot. I recently moved from a Comcast router to a Netgear by removing the switch from the Comcast unit and connecting it to the Netgear. Assistance needed?

What type of IP settings are applied to the server? A fixed IP must reside within the same network as your other devices.

You're very welcome! It's working perfectly now that it automatically gets a new IP address.

Ideally, servers should have fixed IP addresses... you can assign them using DHCP reservations or set them manually on each device.
