This is new problem with the latest update of defender. Wait till Microsoft fixes it.
They issued updated definitions last night to fix the issue. I simply allowed it to operate, performing regular checks and never encountered any problems. I believe my workstation overlooked the incorrect entries because they weren’t loaded during the check yesterday.
I applied the Windows update yesterday and the issue was fixed, now everything is functioning properly.
