I stopped the explorer.exe process because my computer was slow. I attempted to re-run it but couldn't get admin rights, so I turned off the PC. After that, I had to replace my RAM sticks and then booted into safe mode. Now, when I try to use the search bar in the bottom left, it loads and disappears right away. Also, I can't run any commands with the Windows key from the run dialog or take screenshots.

Press ctrl + alt + del, open Task Manager, see Explorer.exe, then click restart? Sounds like it might be something else.

They did that, but it still doesn’t function properly. The only idea I have is there might be a hidden explorer.exe interfering with it.

Occasionally during indexing, your PC might behave this way. Clearing the SearchIndexer files and restarting Explorer usually resolves the issue, though I don’t suggest it unless absolutely necessary.
