Hello, I have two challenging requests for you. Could you confirm if you believe you can handle these and if you have successfully completed similar tasks before? My Asus Vivo Tab RT runs Windows 8.1 RT and was previously on an AT&T network. I’m experiencing issues unlocking it, even after receiving the unlock code from AT&T. The device displays a message saying “The device is not responding,” indicating a software problem. I’ve reinstalled the OS and refreshed it, but the driver removal and reinstallation steps didn’t resolve the issue. If you can assist, let’s try together. Also, do you know how to install Android on this device, which is also running Windows 8.1 RT? It has secure boot enabled. I have the Android kernel code for version 4.2.1, but I’m unsure how to use it. These seem like very difficult tasks from my side—success would be quite impressive. Please don’t harm anyone with this advice. I’ve attached a PDF if you’re not familiar with the setup. If this isn’t the right place, please let me know and I’ll move it. Thanks! Asus Vivo Tab RT.pdf

I'm not familiar with the unlocking process, since I haven't used a Windows device connected to a cellular network. It looks like this tablet is designed exclusively for Windows, and there may not be an Android version available.

I believe someone might be able to clarify this for you, but it seems there’s no solution available. Windows RT devices rely on the secure boot system in UEFI. However, Microsoft and other original equipment manufacturers who produced RT tablets have turned off access to UEFI settings, unlike their x86/64 models which permit it and also allow disabling secure boot.

Yeah, I'm picking up that energy everywhere. I was hoping the XDA developers would have figured something out already. I'll keep my hopes up, since some folks seem to bypass the EUI limits with tools like Grub. Fingers crossed! Thanks for your help—appreciate it. Also thanks to Jamiec1130!
