I am setting up a PC for the first time. I encountered an issue where, when Windows is running and connected to a network, it crashes suddenly. The screen turns black briefly, then all windows appear minimized and unresponsive. Clicking them shows they are open but nothing happens. The taskbar still indicates they are active, though nothing boots from it. Shortcuts remain visible on the taskbar but cannot be used. When I restart, the system goes black with only a functional mouse, requiring a full reinstall to fix.

During the reinstallation process, Windows restarts again. I have already checked my RAM and CPU for damage and found none.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

I suspect the Arc GPU installation process. If you haven’t used the Windows Media Creation Tool before, update the BIOS of your motherboard. Attempt to install the newest GPU drivers: Intel® Arc™ Graphics - Windows*. This download installs Intel® Graphics Driver 32.0.101.8331 (WHQL Certified) for Intel® Arc™ B-Series Graphics, Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics, and Intel® Core™ Ultra Processors with Intel® Arc™ Graphics.

Check the SSD using the toolbox from Crucial
Crucial Storage Executive Tool | Firmware Download
Download the latest version of Crucial Storage Executive to optimize your SSD hard drive performance. It provides details on storage usage and drive health.

I managed to fix myself, but thank you for the suggestion! The issue actually came from the monitor cable. I was using two cables instead of one, which was the cause. Probably a beginner mistake.
