I have an extra nVidia with my AMD in my computer just for this purpose, since whatever software is running unexpectedly on the system suddenly stops the AMD card from working properly.
Sure thing. And I'm definitely planning to reach out to Microsoft directly to find out what they're up to. It's becoming really bothersome. I've never used an AMD card before, so it's just Microsoft's doing. Or maybe I'm about to switch from Windows 11 to Windows 10.

Beyond this, any concerns should be directed solely to AMD, as they are the developers of these drivers for Windows Update. I experienced a comparable issue with my Ryzen 7700X, where the iGPU was integrated into the CPU. The most recent AMD drivers affected HDMI 2.1 and DP DSC, causing my dual 4K 144Hz monitor to drop to a single 4K 60Hz display, and one 4K 60Hz model with reduced color depth or 4K 30Hz. After two to three months, AMD addressed the problem in their updates, and everything functioned normally afterward.
Set up Windows 10 and disable automatic driver updates. That should be the simplest solution!
