Hello, I arrived here since I couldn't find solutions online and would appreciate clarification. When I power on my second PC, I try to use remote desktop, but I can't connect unless a monitor is connected. Once a monitor is attached, it works. Any suggestions?

I’m planning to test VNC for a similar purpose. Likely you’re thinking about connecting to a server. Try VNC or use Teamviewer if both machines have internet access—it works smoothly. If both run Windows 10 Pro, the built-in remote desktop option is available. For the monitor, consider a fake adapter you can purchase online, such as this link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/CompuLab-fit-He...B00FLZXGJ6

I prefer staying within Windows applications, which is why. Usually my server works fine, but it seems to have stopped functioning unexpectedly.

Consider a fake monitor adaptor or a headless solution. Prices vary by region—UK, US, and CA options are listed, with potential lower costs in CA.
