Hello everyone, This seems to be the perfect example of "the tiniest irritation" – just a click and a scroll fixes everything, yet I’m trying to figure it out! I’ve noticed my computer always starts with volume at zero. I have to adjust it manually, but then it resets on each restart. Is there a specific setting I should look at or turn off to stop this from happening? Thanks in advance!

In the device manager, consider turning off unused audio devices. Also, verify shellConfusedtartup and taskmanager>startup for any app causing the problem.

Hi, thanks for your response. It seems there are no unused audio devices listed in the device manager. I do use my front panel headphone jack occasionally, and my screen's DAC connects to the speakers. Here’s a screenshot of the DM window. I’ve also looked in Task Manager, but the only apps I’ve disabled at startup are Spotify, Steam, and Cortana.
