Windows RD malfunctions? It seems to be having issues.
Hello everyone, I've been facing some problems with Remote Desktop on Windows 10 Pro 1903 recently. It seems my web server isn't responding to remote connections anymore, as if it lost network access. I can't even ping it or view the pages hosted there. When I scan for active devices on the network, it shows up just like before in the router settings. The only change is with my router itself. This is odd since we recently switched from ADSL to the new NBN box and replaced our router with the same model. That's strange—no one has tried the old router yet. Any advice would be really helpful!
I don't own my own router. Typically ISP routers come from the Yuan Store in China. I'm even amazed there are choices available. It seems they might have invested in the 5 Yuan version... For me, this feels more about network setup than Windows issues.
Both units are connected via cables. The timeout issue might stem from a network problem rather than a wiring concern.
Ethernet over power lines can present challenges too. A kitchen gadget might adjust its connection based on the setup in your home, but neighbors could also influence this. It’s a piece of equipment that works well at first, yet later becomes unreliable because of factors beyond your control.
