Goodbye to Windows Phone 8.1. It was a bittersweet farewell. Planning an obsolescence release is really wrong! 😠I hoped to adapt my Windows 10 app for phones, but it seems that won’t work anymore. If you own a Windows Phone 8.1 device, you’ll have to upgrade or get a new phone. Devices won’t be supported after July, so please be aware. New apps can’t be made for this version, so upgrading is necessary. If you need assistance with any of these steps, just let me know or share this message.
The experience with a Nokia Lumia left me believing its operating system was unmatched, even affordable phones ran smoothly and quickly. It’s disappointing that developers opted to limit choices, as variety is becoming rare, and it feels like Android will dominate soon.
Both devices ran poorly and only offered a limited selection of applications. I’m still choosing Android.
My device runs on a 640 LTE model, and I really enjoy it, though the app support is quite poor.
