Windows PCs with limited RAM capacity

My computer functioned properly until it suddenly displayed a blue screen and froze. After turning it off, restarting resolved the issue, but when I tried to remove RAM everything failed. Testing various RAM slots worked only with one specific stick. I updated the BIOS and cleared CMOS, yet it still booted only with that particular RAM. The RAM was purchased together. Build: Ryzen 7 3700X Rog B550F gaming Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB 2x16GB 3200MHz DDR4 AORUS Master 3080 forgot the PSU.

It looks like the second RAM module isn't functioning in any setup. This suggests the stick may be faulty. Do you have another PC available to run tests on? If confirmed dead, Corsair offers a lifetime warranty on RAM—worth reaching out to them about replacement options.

Uncertain if the stick is dead since it glowed and everything else worked, but I also purchased a second one with 16GB and 3200MHz, though it didn’t function either. I haven’t tested it on another computer yet.

No, it's not necessary to test the RAM on another system. You can use tools like MemTest86 or Windows Memory Diagnostic for self-testing.

Only one stick is installed at a time. When you transfer a working stick from one slot to another, it remains functional.
