Windows on Arm
Windows on Arm
Hi! Your setup uses Windows 11 on ARM inside a VM with a MacBook M1, and you're trying to run an x64 application. By default, Windows 11 on ARM doesn’t support x64 apps natively, so you’ll need to enable emulation or use a compatible runtime. You can install tools like QEMU or use the built-in ARM emulator features if available.
From what I understand, x86 programs aren't compatible with Windows on ARM. But if anyone knows how it could be fixed, I'd really appreciate it—it's the main reason I'm hesitant about getting a MacBook.
Sure, I tried to figure it out. Let me know if you have any details to share.
Windows 11 for ARM runs with Intel x86 and AMD64 (x86-64) support. Refer to the old blog: https://blogs.windows.com/windows-inside...er-program. Ensure your system uses Build 21277 or newer. Verify your Windows 11 is current for best performance.
The issue remains unresolved at version 25227. Consider checking for updates or alternative solutions.
Another suggestion, does your app contain a driver? If yes, then it won't function. Programs that rely on strict DRM through drivers—similar to anti-cheat solutions that usually run via drivers—won't work either. Drivers must be available in native ARM64 format.
I saved the file and executed the installation process. Near the final stage, it displayed "Installing Drivers..." but the operation failed. Regretful.
