Lately I've been overwhelmed with school assignments and work tasks. I'm missing the basics, especially since I don't have Microsoft Word or similar tools. I bought Windows 10 Home but was really unhappy because I didn't even have access to them. Any advice on getting a trial or alternatives? I won't be purchasing anything.

Many fresh laptops include a fresh 365 one-year trial. Avoid bypassing this by illegally torrenting—it’s not advised. Consider using Open Office instead.

Windows 365 requires payment. You can access trials for new laptops. Office online is free with a Microsoft account or a student account.

You have a Microsoft account linked to your email. If you need a student version, check your school’s portal or contact support for options.

A student account would be provided by your school if they issued one. Your Hotmail should have been moved to the Outlook servers already. If not, you’ll probably need to create a new account—this is free. Keep in mind the online office suite has some limitations, but it still serves its purpose. https://products.office.com/en-us/office...ice-online

With a school email address in hand, you unlock Office 365 at no cost! It’s ready to download. Absolutely! The complete edition is available, giving you full access. Your license includes 1TB OneDrive space plus five PC/Mac licenses and five additional devices for smartphones or tablets running Android/iOS. This setup supports your entire household—ideal for most users. Obtain it here: https://products.office.com/en-ca/studen...-education. If you lack a school email, reach out to your institution; they may provide it free of charge or at a reduced rate (often covering disk and shipping fees). Should your school offer it too affordably, that’s a good sign. If you already have a Microsoft account (Outlook, Live, Hotmail, etc.), simply log in, navigate to OneDrive, and enjoy free access to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint—plus collaborative editing capabilities for teams.
