Hello everyone, I'm having trouble installing the latest .msi files anymore. The Hamachi installer is reaching for admin rights but never actually prompts, just stopping at 0% installed and then giving up, saying the installer isn't responding. I've tried several other programs that use .msi files, like eM Client and a few alternatives, but they all freeze or hang. The Windows installer service seems to be the problem, possibly due to a major issue. I've also tried running Auto Registry Repair with CCleaner, manually restarting the installer service, and even using Safe Mode. Downloaded a tool for fixing MSI files and ran repairs in safe mode, but nothing worked. A system restore helped temporarily, though there were no available restore points and creating one caused another hang. I attempted to run the Hamachi installer through an admin elevated command prompt, but it still wouldn't work. Some compatibility options were grayed out, and I disabled antivirus software for a short time to see if it helped. Running sfc /scannow and other repair commands in elevated CMD fixed the service but didn't resolve the core issue. I'm really stuck and don't know what else to try. It feels like a bug, and I can't find much guidance online. I could reinstall Windows, but that would be a big hassle to reconfigure everything again. I just want to understand why this keeps happening. I first noticed the problem after installing my RTX 4080 and trying to get MSI Centre working. It's a frustrating situation, and I appreciate any advice you can offer. Thanks in advance.

Receiving advice from cleaner, check if the installation is damaged. Run an SFC scan. Most RGB programs are problematic, but Gigabyte Fusion finally managed to identify all my Gigabyte/Aorus devices in the latest update. The ASUS Armory Crate is still an issue—old firmware performed much better.

Execute the command as an administrator, then initiate a system file check, followed by a clean image restoration.

I've removed Ccleaner, ran both scan and cleanup commands successfully, restarted the system, but Hamachi still won't install. I'll add the extra steps I've tried to my original post.

If the clean-up image command and sfc scannow failed, the only remaining choice would be to reinstall Windows.
