I’m aiming for a balance that feels right for my setup—neither too basic nor overly complex. Windows should offer enough flexibility without forcing a one-size-fits-all experience. I want control over my system, the ability to adjust settings and even break things if needed. Stop trying to shield me from making decisions about my own OS. It’s frustrating when Microsoft tries to blend Mac and Linux traits into Windows, especially for everyday tasks like using tablets or gaming. I’m a gamer who values performance and visual quality, not just simplification. I need clear choices, not rigid defaults. Let me decide what I want, not have it dictated to me.

No, I'm just a kid named Alex who loves playing COD. Your mom mentioned that a lot in the chat.

It’s not mandatory to adopt any specific platform, lmao. Windows 10 remains supported through 2025, and regardless of what you think about them, you’re free to move to MacOS or Linux anytime.

The 2in1 market is very large. It's pointless to have a dual-purpose device that forces you to restart constantly when changing settings. That's not the case. It repositions itself beside the taskbar to the left. Many people mention this, but it doesn't make sense. Just because the taskbar and start menu are positioned centrally or designed for broad usability doesn't mean they're built like macOS. In reality, it resembles ChromeOS more than MacOS. Remember that most Windows users struggle with many tasks, even simple ones like using the control panel, which is why the settings app exists. Most people lack the skills to effectively use third-party app stores or manually download apps. That's why the Microsoft Store was created. Ultimately, most individuals won't become experts in computers, just like here. Microsoft's role is to provide products for the general public. If you don't enjoy Windows 11, consider using Windows 10 for another five years, or try Linux Mint.

So shouting LINUX isn't the right path here. My main machine runs Windows with a few virtual machines for older systems. I also have another setup where Linux and Windows work side by side. On my laptop, I've actually attempted to set up daily Linux drives. I've experimented with various distros, but Linux feels restrictive. Your options seem constrained by the need to rely on alternatives like Wine or complex console commands, which often don't work as expected. I really wish I could use Linux more consistently. I favor Mint—it performs well and is quite user-friendly. I even used Nan under Ubuntu when her laptop was unstable and Windows wouldn't boot properly. I've tried Pop OS, Clear, Arch, Puppy, Solus. I recognize the advantages of Linux but also see its practical downsides. After two months of daily use, I haven't found a Linux distribution that holds up. Now I'm certain I'm missing something or lacking proper knowledge. The issue is clear—I've tested many Linux distros and still can't commit to it fully. Linux enthusiasts often claim it's the perfect solution, but for me, it doesn't live up to expectations.

For your question, I don’t agree with how you worded it. There’s definitely value in some of its features, but I see real limitations. I’ve tried and tried numerous Linux distros, yet they fall short of my needs. Linux purists often seem to assume it’s the answer without questioning. I’m sorry if that came across as dismissive.
