I just switched to Windows 10 1909 and noticed a notice in my Update section. It seems my system is up-to-date, even though I’m still using a Ryzen 7 2700 on an X470 with a 980 Ti hard drive. What does this mean?

I've never encountered a Windows update like this before. Perhaps look for compatibility information and try again.

Version 2004 experiences problems with certain hardware and software, so updates are being rolled out gradually while fixes are implemented.

The system indicated your PC isn't new enough because it hasn't reached its full update status or required a reboot to complete the process.

No, your PC isn't necessarily outdated just because new hardware exists. Compatibility depends on specific components like the motherboard, processor, and storage. Check if your current specs match the requirements of the new devices you're planning to use.

It seems the update hasn't been completed yet. They might still be testing on AMD hardware, but it's now available for Intel systems. Since I can't access AMD devices, it suggests AMD CPUs aren't included in this release.

It doesn't imply your system is outdated overall, just that certain parts aren't compatible with version 2004. I checked a bit and noticed some makers haven't tested their drivers for this release, which might be why they're delaying updates. Just to confirm, though, don't rely on my take. Edit: From the Reddit threads I saw, most users mentioned using Ryzen chips, possibly explaining the hold-up. Updated June 4, 2020 by The_russian

It warns you about potential problems with your current setup if you move to 2004 before the update is released. You have the option to push the upgrade manually.
