Hello, I've funded the necessary upgrades for my computer, covering all major parts such as the GPU, CPU, motherboard, RAM, and power supply. I plan to utilize my old hard drive with it since it contains my work files. Will using Windows 10 deactivate if I switch it back?

It doesn't work this way, but if I were you, I'd run a fresh install. Is this HDD your boot device? If yes, discard it and switch to an SSD.

The mainboard is essential. All other components and the operating system are irrelevant. You can also link your activation code to your MS account and simply log in during installation on a new mainboard.

My second PC starts up from a 640GB WD Black drive, SSDs really speed things up—though HDDs still work fine.
