Over the past few days, I've been constantly stressed about resolving my computer issues. It begins when attempting to download FH4 from the Windows Store and encountering the error code 0x80073DOA (later discovered to be a firewall blocking the install). In my somewhat clumsy approach, I tried to install all pending updates simultaneously, which repeatedly failed with the same error before the Store itself crashed. Eventually, it stopped opening entirely, even when using the Run command. Searching online, I learned to use the Store troubleshooter, which suggested resetting the Store app. After doing so, the Store vanished from my list and still wouldn’t open. The Run command then displayed a warning: "You’ll need a new app to open this ms-windows-store link." This made me suspect something was amiss. Through further research, I discovered I could reinstall the Windows Store via a PowerShell command. I followed the instructions, but even with elevated permissions, the firewall blocked execution, showing the same error code. I tried opening the Services window to enable the firewall, but it remained disabled despite granting full access. I also noticed my Mail and Photos apps stopped functioning. It became clear my system might be corrupted or infected by malware that evaded detection by existing antivirus tools. I attempted to reset again, keeping important files intact. I made sure to run the "sfc /scannow" command multiple times during this process. Eventually, after what felt like an eternity, I initiated a reset. The screen displayed: "There was a problem resetting your PC. No changes were made." Panic set in as I realized I was close to losing everything and desperately needed assistance. I don’t want to risk a full system wipe just to restore my files, especially since my backup service isn’t functioning properly due to the firewall interference. I’m at my limit and hoping for someone to guide me through this crisis.

After trying everything, the results were all clean. It seems I’m facing a serious issue or something so obvious that Windows doesn’t care. Thanks for your assistance!

I was just going about my routine, using Discord and playing games. It seems my problem might have been hidden for a while before I accidentally activated something that required the firewall. That’s why it didn’t bother me before. According to Windows, no updates had been applied in over 10 days, so I’m not completely sure.
