After today's update, Windows suddenly started booting from another disk. In BIOS it still shows the boot drive as my primary one. The Windows 10 boot issue is logged on Imgur, suggesting files might have been placed incorrectly. It seems the update may have shifted data to the wrong partition, possibly affecting the boot sequence. The BIOS is trying to use disks f and x instead of c, but I don't understand why. Safe mode isn't working either. Removing my other drives—240 SSD for C drive, 500GB SSD for games, and 1TB HDD for storage—still doesn't resolve the problem. The System Restore reported an error (0x80070570).

Step into the messy world of Windows updates. If disconnecting all drives except your OS drive doesn’t fix the issue, it might be time for a fresh install.

After researching, the issue typically appears in the command prompt rather than during startup. It might be worth replacing Windows altogether.

The repair process is progressing smoothly. The drive letter may shift depending on the environment you're using.

Well that's good but I still have no idea how to fix it.

Do you have a Windows 10 repair disk or drive ready? If yes, attempt to boot from it and perform the repairs once more to check the outcome.
