Check if the license has expired. If so, can I reinstall the system and is it compatible with Microsoft and the license? You can extend its validity via the command prompt. It doesn’t matter if it’s a problem for me—what matters is following the terms and conditions.
You're asking about the specific license type. It refers to the Windows license, typically a lifetime license that remains valid without expiration or renewal through reinstalling Windows. Reactivating it via CMD shouldn't violate any terms, unless someone contacts Microsoft directly about extending it.
It seems I’m stuck without a way to obtain a license for LTSC. I’d really like to pay for it, but that’s not an option. In essence, it feels like a pirated copy, so I don’t want to install it. That’s why I’m wondering if it’s possible to reinstall the system and, after making changes (like a key), continue using it or switch to the Home version.
Still not making much sense? You might be using the pirated Home edition. That’s likely why you need to keep reactivating it. Ideally, just buy a genuine license. LTSC applies for enterprise licenses—it means each feature update comes with 10 years of support plus optional extra security patches. You’ll need an active Enterprise account to get a valid license. Any other method is piracy, and we won’t accept that here.
I own a Windows 10 home with a box. I wanted to use LTS CMD because the regular version came with too much extra software. I understand I could delete everything, but since I previously installed LTS CMD for testing it performed better, I’m considering reinstalling it now.
