When the PC starts, the keyboard light turns on, allowing access to BIOS. However, once it switches to the Windows logo, the light shuts off. This behavior occurs even in Windows Repair mode. I attempted to format the computer a few days ago but couldn't leave or perform any actions since the keyboard and mouse stopped working.
It seems the keyboard stops working near the Windows logo. In the recovery setup, this could indicate a compatibility problem if you don’t use the recovery mode that starts when you shut down your PC due to missing drivers.
I've tested various keyboards but still haven't succeeded. Perhaps they all need a drive. I'm skeptical—it feels like the MOBO shuts down USB ports completely.
It seems the USB connection point on the keyboard has been altered. If you haven't, try using a PS/2 keyboard. These generally function reliably. You might want to grab one for a low cost.
Yes, i've tried changing it, or any kind of variation of that idea, no luck, and this MOBO has no ps/2 input, i know that would fix it. Maybe there's just no solution.
Turn off and press Shift while holding it, that’s how you change Windows settings. You can’t use a USB there, and if you try to restart it, it brings you back to the same place. This happened yesterday, so I had to reset the CMOS.
