You need to learn how to install Windows on a USB drive, then start the installation and enter your key when prompted.

You purchase a key, then visit Microsoft's site to obtain a media creation utility. You receive either an empty DVD or a USB drive, use the tool to generate a bootable media, insert it into your new computer, and proceed with the installation. Enter the product key when prompted. Questions? For Windows 10: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software...ndows10ISO For Windows 8.1: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windo...resh-media For Windows 7: ... What prompted you to choose Windows 7?

Create a bootable USB with Windows installed. In the BIOS, configure the system to start from the flash drive and install Windows. The OS will prompt for your key, which you simply need to enter.

Create a bootable USB using the .iso file. Installation will prompt for a key, which you can obtain from the provided links. Make sure to select the right version: Windows 10, Windows 7, or Windows 8. Follow the instructions carefully and remember to stick to your topics.

Yes, the first two sentences are for the old PC. The link points to an ISO image, which is a file format used to distribute software or operating systems.

Confirm media production on an old Windows machine (uncertain about Mac OS/Linux compatibility). Product code must be purchased elsewhere—Microsoft Store, Newegg, Amazon, or another seller. Key format remains unchanged; ISO files are intended for DVDs. Suggest using a USB drive for speed, or choose the ISO option if using a disc.
