Your latest Windows version is installed on the high-performance plan, yet it occasionally shifts to power-saving mode during sleep or low-gaming sessions. To prevent this, you can adjust your power settings or disable the feature entirely.

Use the software that handles the switch. Disable it or adjust its settings. The suggested setting is Balance. High Performance offers no extra real-world speed compared to Balance; it merely consumes more power, creates more heat, increases fan noise, and affects tasks like browsing or web use—activities that don’t require peak system activity. On laptops, this raises internal temperatures, which can hinder Turbo Boost at high speeds (or stop it entirely) depending on your cooling method, ultimately lowering performance.

I found the solution. Opening beamng.drive launches in high performance mode, but closing it leaves it stuck there. I need to understand the cause and find a way to resolve it.
