Hello everyone. Over the past weeks my windows has shown strange behavior. When I press the ~ and ´ keys, it seems to double the text in every textbox, like ~~ and ´´, but not on the Windows UI textboxes such as the start menu, store, or search. This pattern is consistent across all other interfaces. In the video I shared, you can see this effect everywhere except UI textboxes. Also, in the video you can observe that pressing twice produces ~~ while only once elsewhere. I suspected it might be related to a Razer Synapse issue, but after uninstalling it still persists. The same happens in Safe Mode, with no obvious cause and the same result. On Windows UI, I need to press twice to get ~~ or ´´, whereas on other textboxes a single press suffices. I'm in Portuguese layout too. This isn't affected by language packs since I've tried changing them, and it still works the same. I understand that some keys require double presses for different characters—known as dead keys. I'm familiar with how this works, especially in Portugal where accent marks like the tilde are common. I've tested other keyboards and the outcome remains unchanged. It definitely appears to be a Windows bug. I haven't found anything online, so please help me figure this out. Thanks for your support. Estoy experimentando los mismos síntomas desde hace unas semanas, mientras usaba paquetes de idioma español. El problema ocurre al usar el teclado en pantalla, no el teclado físico. ¿Funciona correctamente en la barra de búsqueda? Mi versión es Windows 10 Pro, versión 22H2.
In the clip you shared, this behavior isn't present in Windows UI textboxes such as the Start Menu, Windows Store, or Windows Search. It appears consistently elsewhere.
