This situation is turning out quite funny. The fix involved a temporary solution. The issue arose because the Windows update interfered. The main idea was to use the standard gigabit onboard NIC on the backup storage for accessing various IPs, MAC addresses, and CIFS logins. I think you're joking about the 'Deduplication is Bad' story. Check this out: It sparked my interest in how deduplication worked. Here’s what I saw when I logged into the non-backup NAs: dedup: DDT entries 6756772, size 951B on disk, 307B in core Quick calculations: Almost 6GB of storage needed – mirrored optane drives. Nearly 2GB RAM required. Wow, that’s a lot. My machine is about to crash. The numbers were similar to the last time I checked – probably a month ago. It’s been running with deduplication for nearly a year now, and after many game updates, read/write operations have increased significantly. The secret to smooth operation lies in 1MB block/record sizes. That’s fine for games. Just set Windows to use 1MB blocks when formatting. I’m not claiming to be an expert, but maybe this helps: https://www.truenas.com/community/thread...ze.111645/ Goodbye.
