Windows is present on the M.2 storage but fails to start.
In the BIOS the WDBlack 1TB m.2 drive appears as the sole storage connected to the machine. I've installed Windows 11 and completed the setup, but the system restarts once it's done. I removed my USB while the install was running and the BIOS reports no bootable drives available. System details: CPU Intel Core i5-12400F 2.5 GHz, 6-core processor, ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III A-RGB cooler, Asus ROG STRIX B660-I motherboard, Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB RAM (32 GB), Western Digital Black SN750 SE 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 drive, Samsung 870 QVO 4 TB SSD, Zotac GAMING Trinity GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card, and a fully modular Corsair SF850L power supply case.
The instructions provided outline a step-by-step setup for installing Windows on an NVMe storage device. It emphasizes disabling certain boot options, clearing secure boot credentials, and using a UEFI bootable USB to guide the installation process. The procedure is tailored for modern systems where the NVMe drive is prioritized.
Continued through the steps and reached stage 8 after returning to the BIOS, but your NVME drive wasn’t shown in the boot options.
The Ram should have been nearer to 6000 CL30, which is the optimal setting right now. You might also consider using the 2.5" SSD option.
I don’t want to do that since it’s a MiXT and the other M.2 slot is hard to reach. It might be necessary to take out the GPU, cut down half the fans, and unplug several cables. Ideally, I wouldn’t want to change anything now because there are already about 3TB of games installed, which would take a long time to re-download.
